Visiting Utah

So, I've been back in Utah for the last week. I forget how nice the summers are here...I love the hot weather. It's really green too! I suppose that is from all the rain they have been getting. I do not miss the Baltimore humidity at all!!! I do miss being out there though. This is the first time that Brian and I have been apart since we have been married and it's not fun! I don't know how my married friends that have husbands, that travel for work, do it! You are tough ladies! I miss Brian a ton! I've been having fun visiting family and friends and been able to get a lot of errands done. Even started to look for places to live when we get back, any suggestions? I, also, got to check out this cupcake shop in Provo called, "The Sweet Tooth Fairy." It is absolutely delicious!!! :)

Trail that Brian and I like to walk on along the Provo River.
Cupcakes at Sweet Tooth Fairy...these kind of places are popping up everywhere!

Yikes!

SO.... Yesterday I had a great day! I was ahead of schedule, with everything! I had all my errands run, bought some great things, on sale even, and had lunch with my friend Kelly. Well...I walk back out to my car, that is in the mall parking garage, and what do I find? I find that the front driver side window was smashed in with a rock the size of a softball. Are you kidding me??? I am parked in a high traffic area! Not by a main entrance, but right by the stairwell, front row where everyone will walk by my car and there are plenty of cars parked around me...you would think it would be safe right? Well, luckily the only things that were taken were our GPS...which I am rather attached too right now... and our cell phone car charger. Some how the thieves did not see my shopping bags in the back seat. The cops said it could of been worse. I believe his exact words were..."They could of slashed your seats and tires and left your car on cinderblocks." Um...yeah... how lucky...I feel so much better! Thank you officer for the words of comfort. I now get to drive with plastic as a make shift window until we get it fixed. A side from that, things are great around here!

Time is FLYING!

So, I can't believe that I have not updated my blog in a month! What I can't believe more is that a month has actually gone by! Time is flying out here. I do, from time to time, find myself getting a little homesick. I think that I'm anxious to get back to Utah and get our home all put together...wherever that may be haha....we still do not know where we will be living yet. There has been a lot that has been helping the time pass. My sister, Alyson, and her husband came out to Maryland for a wedding. It was nice to see them before they took off back to Utah. Their little boy Jared is absolutely adorable! I have to say I'm a very proud Aunt, of all of my nieces and nephews! I have quite a bit now! :) Here's a picture of baby Jared and I. He's so happy!

Another thing that has been a lot of fun has been going down to DC. I love it! Since we first went about a month ago I have been down there about 6 times checking out other things. I have been able to meet my sister in law, Jessica, to go to the DC temple, checked out shopping in Georgetown, which is wonderful, and made it down to the other sites like the Capital, White House, Arlington National Cemetery... there really is so much to see!

Georgetown Cupcake! Absolutely delicious! I have to thank Brian for being so patient and waiting over a half hour to get in the door! It's crazy how busy this place is! Definitely worth the wait though!
