10 Days!

So, I haven't been the best at updating my blog lately...it's been a few weeks and here is what we have been up to!  For Mother's Day we made another attempt to go to the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.  It was beautiful.  I wish I could show you more pictures of it!  While we were there our camera had a "memory card error" and wiped out all the pictures we took.  Lame!  So, now we need to buy a new camera and soon.  (We found out after looking up reviews on our camera that it's more a camera error and not a memory card error.)  Below are a couple we took with our phone's camera.

A couple weeks ago we went to the North Carolina Zoo.  It's a pretty cool zoo.   We need to go earlier next time though because it was hot and we could only make it through half of the zoo.  You wouldn't guess that we were at the zoo based off of our pictures either huh...I don't know why we didn't take very many with the animals.

There was an special exhibit on orchids.

Brian in a dinosaur egg.  I was going to attempt to do the same but I figured I would of held up the line of kids.  (Things take longer when you have a big belly!)

37 weeks belly!

We are down to 10 days till my due date!  I'm hoping that he is born sooner then that though.  I now know what all my pregnant friends meant when they just wanted their baby's born.  I assumed it was more of the excitement of having a baby.  Now I know, it's that and wanting to feel more normal again.  Did anyone else get sick of people saying, "whoa, you look like you are ready to pop/explode/burst!" Or little kids pointing and telling their parents to look at my "fat" belly.  I even had a guy come up to me in the grocery store and say, "Please, do not have your baby in here!"  Wasn't planning on it buddy!  Haha!  I am really excited to have my little boy here where I can hold him and take care of him.  I think that excitement out ways the nervousness of actually having him.  (Oh, and if you are wondering...we still have not decided on a name for sure.  We have a few, but we are waiting to see him to see what one fits best.)

38 weeks belly...I'm hoping the next post will be after the baby is born!

Visit to Duke University

Last weekend Brian and I drove over to check out the Duke University Campus.  Specifically, a church that we heard was pretty and some flower gardens.  Here is Brian out in front of the church.

Some archways...

The doors had some really pretty hinges on them!

We attempted to go to the Sarah P. Duke Flower Gardens.  (This is about as far as we made it!!!)  It was really busy when we pulled up and were were pretty excited to walk around...well...within 5 minutes of being there I strained my back and we had to go home.  (Someone please tell me that my body will be back to normal once I have the baby.  I feel like I am more prone to aches and pains!!!) Hopefully, next weekend we will have to give it another try, without any injuries!  Haha!
