What's wrong with me?

So, my baby is a week and half shy of 5 months....where has the time gone???  I need to do a major update.  He has changed so much!  I would have thought I would have been A LOT better at this. Once I sort through pictures...and have some extra time...I'll give a little update on what we have been up these last few months! :)  Here is a picture of Beckham this last weekend though!  Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!

Beckham's Newborn Pictures- 10 days old

So, yes, I know...I'm a little behind on updating my blog!  Beckham is now 6 weeks old and I'm finally posting his newborn pictures.   I still need to write my birth story...I feel like I'm already forgetting it!!!  (I'm glad I have some notes though and I'll write it in my next post. )  I'll, also, post some more recent pictures of the little guy.  He is such a good baby for me.  He is so happy!  He cries only when he's hungry, needs to be changed and sometime when he's sleepy and is fighting it.  I'm loving being a mommy.  It is such a blessing!

A little about Beckham...More to come!

So, everyday since he's been born I have told myself I'm going to blog about the birth! Now he's 12 days old and I'm just now posting something. He was born June 11th at 4:19pm and weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long.  For now, it'll just be a couple pictures. I promise that I'll write more about the birth, figuring out his name, and how the little guy has been by the end of the week. What I'll say now though is...being a mother is one of the best things I've experienced. It is such a blessing to have him in my life. Seeing Brian care for our little boy is the sweetest thing. I seriously melt watching the two of them interact. It makes me love and appreciate him more and more. Beckham is so perfect and I love him being in our family.  Here are a few pictures from the day he was born. :)

10 Days!

So, I haven't been the best at updating my blog lately...it's been a few weeks and here is what we have been up to!  For Mother's Day we made another attempt to go to the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.  It was beautiful.  I wish I could show you more pictures of it!  While we were there our camera had a "memory card error" and wiped out all the pictures we took.  Lame!  So, now we need to buy a new camera and soon.  (We found out after looking up reviews on our camera that it's more a camera error and not a memory card error.)  Below are a couple we took with our phone's camera.

A couple weeks ago we went to the North Carolina Zoo.  It's a pretty cool zoo.   We need to go earlier next time though because it was hot and we could only make it through half of the zoo.  You wouldn't guess that we were at the zoo based off of our pictures either huh...I don't know why we didn't take very many with the animals.

There was an special exhibit on orchids.

Brian in a dinosaur egg.  I was going to attempt to do the same but I figured I would of held up the line of kids.  (Things take longer when you have a big belly!)

37 weeks belly!

We are down to 10 days till my due date!  I'm hoping that he is born sooner then that though.  I now know what all my pregnant friends meant when they just wanted their baby's born.  I assumed it was more of the excitement of having a baby.  Now I know, it's that and wanting to feel more normal again.  Did anyone else get sick of people saying, "whoa, you look like you are ready to pop/explode/burst!" Or little kids pointing and telling their parents to look at my "fat" belly.  I even had a guy come up to me in the grocery store and say, "Please, do not have your baby in here!"  Wasn't planning on it buddy!  Haha!  I am really excited to have my little boy here where I can hold him and take care of him.  I think that excitement out ways the nervousness of actually having him.  (Oh, and if you are wondering...we still have not decided on a name for sure.  We have a few, but we are waiting to see him to see what one fits best.)

38 weeks belly...I'm hoping the next post will be after the baby is born!

Visit to Duke University

Last weekend Brian and I drove over to check out the Duke University Campus.  Specifically, a church that we heard was pretty and some flower gardens.  Here is Brian out in front of the church.

Some archways...

The doors had some really pretty hinges on them!

We attempted to go to the Sarah P. Duke Flower Gardens.  (This is about as far as we made it!!!)  It was really busy when we pulled up and were were pretty excited to walk around...well...within 5 minutes of being there I strained my back and we had to go home.  (Someone please tell me that my body will be back to normal once I have the baby.  I feel like I am more prone to aches and pains!!!) Hopefully, next weekend we will have to give it another try, without any injuries!  Haha!

What's been happening in the last month...

A lot has happened in the month of April!  Brian and I celebrated our one year anniversary April 10th!  I can't believe how fast that first year went by!  All I have to say is that I'm so happy to be married to such an amazing man.  He treats we so well and is just the perfect man for me.  It's funny how you think you love someone so much and then realize, as time goes by, how that love for them grows more and more.  :)

For our anniversary, Brian had us stay at the Grand America Hotel for the weekend.  (This is where we stayed right after we were married.)  It was really nice to get away and stay in a nice room.  Most of our apartment was packed up due to us getting ready for our summer move.  Over the weekend, he surprised me with flowers and a necklace, we relaxed, went on hike, explored Park City and had a couple nice dinners.  It was a wonderful anniversary weekend!  Thank you Brian! :)

I do have to mention the above place though.... Bruges Waffles is located near Gateway Mall and if you have not experienced this yet....you need to!!!  It was absolutely delicious!  Enough where I would catch myself thinking about them days after and even had a dream about them.  Maybe that is weird...or maybe I'm just pregnant.  Haha.  Seriously though, you have to try them.

April 14th we left for Raleigh, North Carolina!  So, far I would have to say that I LOVE it here.  Everyone is so friendly and it is so beautiful and GREEN!  Brian and I are excited to be here and excited to see what summer adventures we will have.  There is a lot that we would like to check out while we are here.

Brian in front of the Raleigh Temple.

Me in front of the Raleigh Temple.  (Brian trying to take a more creative picture.  I was struggling with the face forward smile...I'm not photogenic!)

This is a demon bird at the temple.  No joke...we heard the weirdest bird noises coming from a tree on the temple grounds.  Next thing we know we are ducking as this bird is flying straight at us.  Then turns around and makes another attempt. (Brian somehow caught this picture!)  I don't know what we did to bother this bird so much?????

Here I am at 34 weeks.  I know these belly pics are just gorgeous, but it's the best I can do right now.  I'm finding that I have less and less to wear and I wonder how much more I am going to grow.  I had my first doctor appointment out here in North Carolina and I was really pleased with the office.  I was a little worried that I wouldn't find a doctor that I would like.  At my first appointment they told me that I could possibly have him a little early.  Maybe not though...we will see how things are going now that I will have weekly appointments.  I have to admit, it got me a  little anxious about making sure I'm ready for this little one to get here.  I mean, we still need to figure out a name!!!!!

30 weeks

My 30 week belly.  I know the picture quality is not the best.  I apologize! We have a camera now and I never use it!  I'm not sure if anyone really loves seeing these either, I know my family likes to see how I'm growing though.  He moves around so much and it's crazy to think how soon he will be here!

I feel like we have a lot going on right now.  I will put up another post soon!
